Alert message in asp.net

You can use following function as follow :

    public void DisplayAJAXMessage(string msg)
    {
        Control page = this;
        string myScript = String.Format("alert('{0}');", msg);
        ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(page, page.GetType(), "MyScript", myScript, true);
    }

DisplayAJAXMessage("hello I am alert");
